Shot entirely on an iPhone 5s, Tangerine follows Sin-Dee Rella, a transgender sex worker in Hollywood who discovers her boyfriend, and pimp, has been cheating on her during her brief time in prison.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with queer filmmakers and programmers looking at the relationship between DIY and queer filmmaking. Stick around and have Qs to hand.

Hakeem Kazeem
Film programmer and curator for Fringe! Queer Film Fest, Bernie Grants Art Centre and founder of Batty Mama, a Black Queer/LGBTQIA+ mixed arts club night.

​Amy Coop
Multi award-winning writer, director and producer working largely in short film and drama. She was selected for the BBC Drama Director Initiative in 2018 and has gone on to direct Doctors and Hollyoaks.

​Theresa Heath
A PhD candidate researching queer film festivals and cinema at King’s College, London. She is also founder and producer of Wotever DIY Film Festival.

​Carine Koleilat
Lebanese queer filmmaker and sound designer. Founder of the production company Blue Fox who working on documentaries and feature films, as well as advertising for brands such as Nike.
